The party is still on for the NGO ‘Wildlife Club of Seychelles’ (WCS).
The club celebrated its 20th anniversary in June but has chosen the 12th of July to hold its “Wildlife Festival”.
The official opening ceremony will take place at UniSey at the Anse Royal campus. The activities that will follow will include workshops and variety shows.
Wildlife Club of Seychelles was formed in 1994 to respond to the growing need for environmental education support to schools and communicates engaged in wildlife conservation.
About 1000 children in most schools in Seychelles are members of WCS which is run by volunteer teachers and staff or parents and community members.
The children meet after school, on weekends and during school holidays.
