On the occasion of International NGO Day 2025, the Citizens Engagement Platform Seychelles would like to extend its sincere gratitude and appreciation to all civil society organisations in Seychelles for all their hard work over the past year.
We embrace the crucial roles of NGOs in creating a better world by addressing social, environmental, and humanitarian issues. They work tirelessly to bring positive changes and uplift our communities.
The theme this year, “Empowering Grassroots Movements for a Sustainable Future”, emphasizes the role of our NGOs and other grassroots movements in driving sustainable development and creating lasting social change. These organizations often fill critical gaps in service delivery and advocate for marginalized communities.
We need to celebrate the successes of NGOs! Through this celebration, let us spread awareness and inspire others to also come forward to support NGOs and other grassroots movements in their efforts to contribute to social causes in our society. Let us take time to reflect on new initiatives in the face of emerging challenges in our communities. We urge other individuals to join forces either with established NGOs or by creating new NGOS to help make a difference.
