In April 2013 a group of young entrepreneurs from member states of the Indian Ocean Commission, met in Seychelles to discuss how young entrepreneurs can network in the region.
After three days of discussion, the outcome was the creation of a regional Platform for young entrepreneurs named “Synergie Jeunes.” Two young Seychellois have been elected on the regional committee : Ms Fatoumata Sylla as Vice Chairperson and Mr Michel Pierre as Treasurer.
One major task of the regional platform was to set up a national platform in their respective countries regrouping all young entrepreneurs. The committe has been elected on Monday 09 June, and the Chairperson of the Seychelles platform is Ms Christine Reginal, herself a young entrepreneur.
The objective of the “Synergie Jeunes” is to develop an independent network of young entrepreneurs in the Indian Ocean, to share knowledge, experience and resources.
