CEPS celebrates American Thanksgiving at Foyer De Nazareth

CEPS American Study Center (CASC) in collaboration with The Lions Club of Seychelles organised a Thanksgiving lunch at Foyer de Nazareth to celebrate the American holiday of Thanksgiving with the children of the foyer.

The CEPS American study center is a project funded by the US Embassy with the aim to promote and strengthen the existing relationship between the two bodies through a welcoming and inspiring American-themed environment.

Since Thanksgiving is about showing gratitude, CEPS partnered with The Lions Club of Seychelles for the latter to make a charitable gesture by donating stationery and school supplies to the children. This was followed by a Thanksgiving Lunch hosted by CASC.

Present for the ceremony were representatives from The Lions Club of Seychelles, Mrs. Marie-Annette Ernesta from the United States Consulate as well as CEPS staff. During the ceremony, the esteemed guests got to enjoy the lovely performance of a song and poem by the children.

A recorded video message by Public Affairs Officer from the U.S Embassy in Mauritius, Mr. Nick Von Mertens, was also played during the ceremony. In his message, Mr. Von Mertens talked about the history and traditions of Thanksgiving and referred to it as a tradition to give back and contribute to the community.

It was a successful program filled with laughter, joy, and hearts full of gratitude.
